MCDO GIVE AWAYSOnce again, Goldenstate College, General Santos City extended its arms to the less fortunate brothers of the community. With its tradition of celebrating Christmas with a cause, the Goldenstate College family distributed gift packages and old clothes to the poor and needy families of Gensan last December 10, 2010 at the oval stage.

Through the kind heart and support of the students and well meaning friends of the College, they were able to gather enough goods for at least 900 families living within the city as well as in nearby towns and barangays. The street children and the Badjao drummers were also given food and toys courtesy of one of the supporters of the College, McDonalds.
It was indeed a very exciting night for all of them for they were treated with a musical extravaganza specially prepared by the students of Goldenstate College and the McDonalds Mascots. Despite the not so good weather that night, everybody had a lot of fun for another year of love and sharing with the less fortunate was successfully celebrated.

Headed by the College’s Finance Officer, Mrs. Sara Jane T. Manilay, our CEO, Dr. Warren A. Manilay MNSA, our College President, Mrs. Josie Yap- Tirador MBA, together with the faculty members and staff of the College, the distribution of the goods and the merriment we prepared for almost 900 families was indeed a very memorable one for again we have proven that the tradition of celebrating Christmas for a Cause still lives on in the heart of Goldenstate College.
