HISTORY OF Goldenstate College
Goldenstate Institute's Evolution into Goldenstate College: A Legacy of Education
In 1992, the seeds of Goldenstate Institute were sown by a visionary group of seven school officials who shared a common dream — to establish an institution committed to providing quality education. With the support of 29 dedicated teachers and an initial enrollment of 160 students, Goldenstate Institute embarked on a journey that would shape the educational landscape.
From its inception, Goldenstate Institute embraced a multifaceted approach to education, offering seven vocational courses and five non-formal courses. This diversity reflected the institution's commitment to providing not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills to its students.
As the years unfolded, Goldenstate Institute underwent transformative growth and became Goldenstate College. This metamorphosis was marked by a steadfast commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The institution expanded its academic offerings, earning government recognition for 23 courses by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and offering five Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) programs, aligning its curriculum with industry standards.
The commitment to holistic education led to Goldenstate College being acknowledged by the Department of Education (DepEd) for its Senior High School programs. The institution's influence extended beyond its General Santos City campus, with the establishment of Goldenstate College branches in Koronadal- South Cotabato, Maasim, Kiamba, and Malungon - all in Sarangani Province.
Embracing the significance of early childhood education, Goldenstate College introduced Goldenstate Little College in April 2008 - the Preschool and Basic Education Department. This extension, spanning from Preschool to Junior High School Programs, operates at the General Santos City Campus and the San Pablo, Laguna Campus. This expansion underlines the institution's commitment to shaping the educational journey of students from their earliest years.
Today, with a workforce of over 300 employees, an ISO 9001:2015 Certified educational institution, Goldenstate College stands as a beacon of education, fostering an environment where students not only gain knowledge but also develop character and skills essential for their future endeavors.
The journey from Goldenstate Institute to Goldenstate College is a testament to the institution's resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to providing accessible, quality education. As it continues to evolve, Goldenstate College remains dedicated to shaping minds, transforming lives, and leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of education.
